Quartz
Most quartz surfaces, including Cambria quartz, are composed of 90%-93% quartz crystal and 10%-7% pigments and binders. This composition makes quartz surfaces incredibly hard, scratch resistant, and durable. Silestone surfaces can contain between 10% and 50% quartz crystal. Unlike granite, concrete, and marble, quartz surfaces are nonporous, making them stain resistant, easily sanitized, food safe, mold and mildew resistant, and hygienic.
Solid Surface
Solid Surface is a composition of acrylic resin, dyes, and other aggregates. These surfaces are nonporous, strong, and easily repairable. They require very little maintenance and are easy to clean – just use a soft rag and mild soap. Solid Surfaces are rated food safe and easily sanitized, making them perfect for any space, commercial or residential.
